E&E Global Foundation and the Across Canada 2018 Board held a press conference on November 13 at the E&E Global Business Centre. At this time they announced the six organizations that will be receiving funds from the Across Canada 2018 Charity Cycling Event that will be held next year.

Across Canada 2018 is a cycling fundraising event that will run for 10 weeks from June 8 to August 21, 2018 in which participants will start in Victoria, BC and ride across Canada. There is also the option of joining the ride for one-day or one-week. If you are interested in joining in with this special event or would like to donate you can do so online. The fundraising goal for this event is an incredible $100,000.

D.A.R.E. BC Society was selected as one of the organizations to receive funds and will receive 15% of the total funds raised. Mike Yau, President, and Kenneth Yau, Volunteer, were able to represent D.A.R.E. BC Society at this event and give a short presentation about D.A.R.E. to all those in attendance. The other selected organizations do excellent work in BC and around the world. They include: the Canadian Health Awareness Society, Christian Zheng Sheng College, Development Disabilities Association of Vancouver-Richmond, Global Aid Network (GAIN), and Vancouver Sowers Society of Education.

E&E Global Foundation has been a long term supporter of D.A.R.E. BC Society. Each year they host an event to raise funds and then donate to suitable charities. Past events have included crossing the Sahara Desert, organizing 5km run/walk, charity dinners, and many more. D.A.R.E.
