How to build your legacy in 2016

A New Year brings excitement to make changes in your life, whether you want to save money for an exciting trip or work on losing some extra holiday pounds! The New Year is also an opportunity for you to build upon your legacy and make a difference in your community. Every day, D.A.R.E. BC Society supports the RCMP and dedicated D.A.R.E. Officers in delivering the D.A.R.E. keepin’ it REAL program. D.A.R.E. Officers deliver the program over 10 weeks to excited Grade 5/6 students who have the chance to learn how to make healthy choices from a leader in their community.
Although the program is facilitated by trained RCMP D.A.R.E. Officers, community members and leaders are still able to be involved and make an impact in the lives of students. Find out 3 ways you can start your New Year off right, and having 2016 be your most impactful year yet!

Donate to D.A.R.E. BC Society

D.A.R.E. BC Society is always in need of donations to provide students with the necessary learning materials to receive Drug Abuse Resistance Education. At a cost of $12, each student receives a Learning Materials Package, which includes: the D.A.R.E. kiR Workbook, T-shirt, pencil, name card, book mark and graduation certificate that is presented at a special ceremony. D.A.R.E. BC has a number of options for individuals or organizations who would like to donate, including monthly or a one time donation.

Volunteer with D.A.R.E. BC Society

D.A.R.E. BC Society hosts a number of volunteering events throughout the year, including the Sandwich Give Outs. Volunteers who would like to give more of their time can send in their resume and information to the D.A.R.E. Board for review. You can become a D.A.R.E. BC Society Board Member and help guide the organization to success.

Host a Fundraiser

In the past both indiviudals and organizations have supported the D.A.R.E. kiR program by hosting a fundraiser to raise awareness about and raise funds for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Contact D.A.R.E. BC Society to see how you or your organization can raise funds in your community for the D.A.R.E. kiR program!
Whatever your New Years resolutions are, D.A.R.E. BC Society wishes you the best in your endeavors. If you need any more ideas, contact Partner Relations Manager, Chantal Broughton, of D.A.R.E. BC Society to learn how you can support the D.A.R.E. kiR program.
