D.A.R.E. BC Soceity’s Annual Appreciation Luncheon

D.A.R.E. BC Society’s generous donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners were recognized on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Richmond RCMP Headquarters for their contributions to the organization’s many accomplishments this year.

MLA Teresa Wat presented a short introduction about the D.A.R.E Program and the Richmond Community. Superintendent Will Ng (Officer in Charge of Richmond RCMP Detachment) was also present and gave a few words explaining his support of the D.A.R.E Program. Before awarding the D.A.R.E Certificates, a short presentation of the history of the program, as well as its significance in Richmond, was presented by Cst. Bal Kandola, a D.A.R.E. officer.

Venus Duplin from RHN, representatives from Taipei Economic and Cultural, members from Scotia Bank Alderbridge, and the Summer Riders were all awarded the D.A.R.E Certificate.

Tower Power Group Painting Co., accepted by Aman Bains was awarded the RCMP Certificate, for sponsoring the purchase of marketing supplies for the Richmond Community.

The E and E Global Foundation, was also awarded an RCMP Certificate and D.A.R.E Plaque, for their fundraising efforts from the Across Canada 2018 bike ride. We also recognized Chef Andy Lam of East One Seafood with an RCMP Certificate, for providing D.A.R.E. BC with catering for multiple events throughout the past several years.

The final RCMP Certificate was awarded to one of D.A.R.E. BC’s newest and largest sponsors, Mr. Huaijun Chen.  Mr. Chen will be working closely with our organization in carrying out the  D.A.R.E. program in the Richmond community.

Thank you to all of the local organizations and corporate partners for supporting D.A.R.E. BC Society. With their help, D.A.R.E BC Society is able to support the RCMP in delivering the D.A.R.E. keepin it REAL program across BC. D.A.R.E. BC Society sends its sincerest thanks to our donors across British Columbia for empowering children to make healthy choices and choose a drug-free life. Additionally, D.A.R.E. BC Society thanks Chef Andy Lam from East One Seafood for the amazing meal for our Donor Appreciation Luncheon.
