On Sunday, June 29th, 2025, D.A.R.E. BC, in close partnership with the Richmond RCMP, proudly participated in the British Columbia Chinese Soccer Federation (BCCSF) FUNDAY Youth Tournament at Minoru Park.
Throughout the day, D.A.R.E. BC and RCMP members connected with children, youth, and parents from across the community, sharing important messages about making safe and healthy lifestyle choices.
Our booth was a popular stop, where visitors received stickers and stamps—helping spark conversations about positive decision-making and community safety.
To cap off a fantastic event, D.A.R.E. BC Executive Director Mike Yau joined Constable Allison Roberts and Constable Tessa Cameron to present medals to the MVPs from each of the three winning teams in the tournament’s divisions. We were also honoured by a surprise visit from Richmond City Centre–Marpole Member of Parliament and Richmond City Councillor Chak Au.
Congratulations to all the vibrant and energetic young athletes for your hard work, dedication, and outstanding sportsmanship. We look forward to supporting future BCCSF events and continuing to celebrate youth achievement in our community!
A heartfelt thank you to the event organizers, volunteers, and the Richmond RCMP—this event would not have been possible without your dedication and support.
