On June 11, 2016, D.A.R.E. BC Society was given the privilege to attend the Tzu Chi Foundation year end Chinese School graduation ceremony. Tzu Chi Foundations primary educational mission is to teach their students self-discipline, respect and love for themselves and others and teaching students to make the rights choices and care for themselves. D.A.R.E. BC Society is honoured to partner up with foundations such as the Tzu Chi Foundation, who share the same goals and passion in providing our children with the knowledge to make healthy choices and live a drug-free life.
The graduation ceremony consisted of several traditional presentations from the student graduates and a cheque presentation. Members of the Tzu Chi Foundation including Jane Wong, presented D.A.R.E. BC Society with a donation of $5,000. Due to their kind donation 415 students will be given the necessary tools and materials to take the D.A.R.E program. We are thankful for foundations such as the Tzu Chi Foundation for their incessant support for the D.A.R.E. program.
Tzu Chi Foundation members including Jane Wong received a Certificate of Appreciation for supporting the D.A.R.E. program. Board Director Steve Ternes, Cpl. Bob Sangha, Vice President Mike Yau and Partner Relations Manager Rimitha Sandhu attended the remarkable ceremony.
