Across Canada 2018 – More Information

This June there will be a charity bike ride across Canada starting in Victoria and ending in St John. The organizers of this event, E&E Global Foundation and the Across Canada 2018 Board, have been busy organizing the many elements of this event, raising awareness about the event, and fundraising money for the 6 charity organizations that will receive the profits from this event. D.A.R.E. BC will receive 15% of all funds raised.

In December, D.A.R.E. BC Representatives were invited to a radio interview with Fairchild Radio (AM1470) to speak about our organization and for listeners to learn more about the upcoming bike ride. Mike Yau, President, and Kate Meffen, PR Manager, were pleased to share information about D.A.R.E. BC Society to all listeners.

On January 31st the second press conference was held about this event. Kate Meffen and Mike Yau were able to attend to learn more about this upcoming event. They also had the opportunity to meet a number of the dedicated riders and learn details about the route.

The Across Canada team selected 3 mission statements for their event which speak to their goals and motivation:

  1. Challenge oneself and explore the beauty of Canada
  2. To express our compassion and care for those in need
  3. Love in motion, pedal for life
